For most of my life, I have enjoyed taking pictures. Growing up, a disposable camera from CVS was what I used to capture the moments I deemed worth the loss of film. Most of them would end up blurry or I would get 10 pictures of a table or my hand. The summer before my first year in middle school, my mom and I went to Target and bought a small red camera so I could take it with me to sleep away camp. The pictures and videos taken on there came out much better than the disposable camera, but they weren't the best quality. As I got older, though, I started to use my mom's old professional Canon camera with the different types of lenses and everything. I received stage lights for my birthday to use when photographing/filming. Now, I use the Canon camera, my little red camera, my iPhone, and my Polaroid camera to take pictures.
Photography makes me so happy. I will take pictures of absolutely anything that I find interesting or pretty. I don't care if people think I'm weird for wanting to take a picture of my bright colored drink in front of a different colored wall or for wanting to take a picture of my ripped jeans with my feet in the sand at a beach. If I want to take a picture of it, I'm going to. Most people think I'm taking these pictures to post them on some form of social media, like Snapchat, Instagram, or Twitter, but the reality is I don't have a Snapchat, my Instagram is for Taylor Swift, and I only have a Twitter for this blog. I'm not taking these pictures to tell people: "Oh, look what I'm doing! How perfect is my life? I'm great." I take pictures to remember what things were like and for the sake of taking pictures.
Like I said, I take pictures of everything. Most of the pictures I take are with my iPhone, since I don't lug the big Canon camera everywhere with me. Here are a few pictures (all taken by me) captured with the iPhone 5C:

A camera is a platform for me to express creativity and share my thoughts with one photo. Do you have a hobby that makes you feel like you can say whatever you want and not feel out of place when you do? Isn't it wonderful to know that our time on this Earth can be soaked up doing things like this that we love so much?
