Hey all! It's time for a new blog- this one's about hair!
I've had naturally curly hair all my life. It's pretty long, and it's always curly when I wake up. But, everyone at my school thinks that my hair is wavy because I brush my hair out in the morning. That kind of annoyed me, so I found some super easy ways to wake up with curly hair. Who knew you could sleep your way to curls?
1. The Beard
This trick looks funny, but it works!
1) Part your hair into two parts. It should look like pigtails (only don't tie them).
2) Twist each part, then pull them in front of you.
3) Use a hair tie and secure them
4) Sleep with this, then in the morning take the hair tie out.
You'll be left with beautiful spiral curls! For a thicker effect, you can pull the curls apart from one another to balance out the curls.
2. The Headband Trick
This is a little bit more advanced, but in the end it is gorgeous!
1) After you take a shower, while your hair is still wet, take a headband and put it on your head like this:

2. The Headband Trick
This is a little bit more advanced, but in the end it is gorgeous!
1) After you take a shower, while your hair is still wet, take a headband and put it on your head like this:
2) Take a section of your hair (the bigger the sections are, the bigger the curls and vice versa). The sections can be different sizes (it doesn't matter). Wrap it around the headband. You're going to want to do this step neatly, slowly, and tightly.
3) Repeat this step until all your hair is around the headband.
4) If you'd like, spray some mousse in your hair.
5) Go to sleep!
6) When you wake up, slowly and carefully remove your hair from the headband. All the times I've done this, I had gotten many knots and my hair just doesn't want to come out from the headband easily.
7) So go slow and take your time. When all the hair is out, you will have some gorgeous curls!
3. Braids
If you want more wavy hair than curly, this is the way to go!
1) After you take a shower, part your hair into three sections. You do not need wet hair for this, but I find that it works better.
2) Take each section and braid it tightly. Secure the ends with an elastic.
3) You could stop there and go to sleep like that, but if you want a cooler effect take your three sections and braid those together.
4) You are left with a thick braid. Now go to sleep!
5) Once you wake up, undo the braids. You now have wavy hair that looks super natural!
4. The Sock Bun!
This trick is easy and fast.
1) Take a sock. Cut the bottom off.
2) Take your hair (wet works best) and put it in a high pony (or low, whichever you prefer).
3) Scrunch up the sock, then thread it into the tips of your hair.
4) Roll the sock and your hair until the sock is resting on top of your head.
5) Go to sleep!
6) When you wake up, unravel the sock. You are left with pretty curls!
Hopefully these tricks have helped you. I have tried all of these and they all have worked. Good luck! Love you! Keep smiling!
