dark drive, charged up, full moon
Personally, I found that these shades really suit my eye color (I have hazel eyes). They are pigmented, full, and can be easily blended. The consistency of each shade is great. Nothing is too transparent or vice versa. I really enjoy this palette; I use it to do my makeup for almost every special occasion (Christmas, birthdays, parties...). All together the shades look great in their palette. I love how there is a combination of matte and sparkly shades because I feel like I always see palettes with sparkly colors but not many matte ones. This palette has both for a contrast in texture and color. They represent a neutral color scheme with a dash of purple, which is Tarte's signature color and is often used in these types of palettes.
Now let's talk about the individual shadows. 'Full moon', the last shade on the right of my arm in the picture above, is the perfect base shade. I also use it to highlight my brow bone and inner corner. 'Misty Mauve' is definitely my favorite shade in the palette; it's a perfect combination of nude pink and light purple. I love blending this shade in my crease and on my lower lash line, which really pulls the whole look together! 'Lunar Eclipse' is great for eyeliner and smudging on the lower lash line as well. As for the blush, I LOVE it! It's such a perfect neutral shade for your cheeks and works for all skin tones.
As for the price, I purchased it from Sephora for $38. Usually I don't like to spend a lot of money on makeup because I think you can find just as great and sometimes even better products for a cheaper price, but palettes are where I think it's okay to splurge, since they come with tons of different colors and often a blush, like this palette. Like I said before, Tarte is one of my favorite makeup brands, so when buying this product I knew it would be amazing. The price I paid was worth it for this extremely amazing quality and amount of product.
So, overall? Definitely a YES for me. I use this palette all. The. Time (I'm not exaggerating). It's perfect for me and I am so glad I bought it. Do I recommend it? Absolutely! Next time you're in Sephora, Ulta, or any other makeup store and you're looking for a neutral palette with beautiful end results, I highly suggest you purchase the Energy Noir clay palette by Tarte.
