Gilmore Girls, a television show consisting of eight seasons and 153 episodes. It is a television show dating back to 2000 that is still loved by many, including me. I started watching Gilmore Girls at the end of 2016 and finished it about one month later. I flew through that show; it immediately hooked me with its witty commentary and easy-to-love characters.
The show is based on a mother and a daughter, Lorelei (mother) and Rory (daughter). Lorelei had Rory at sixteen years old and raised her by herself. They are best friends and do everything together. The show takes its audience on a journey depicting Rory's life through high school and college and Lorelei's life juggling her job, parents, and all the many men she encounters. It is truly intriguing to watch such a solid relationship occur onscreen; they have such a tight and inseparable bond that makes you sit there and think, "Huh. Maybe I should call and chat with my mom."
There are boys in the show, of course. Fans for years have been discussing their opinions on which boy is best for Rory (Dean, Jess, or Logan) and why. If you watch the show, who do you favor? I'm Team Jess all the way. I won't give any spoilers for those watching currently but I will say the end of the last season has many shockers.
Speaking of the last season, it really isn't the last one after all! It has been announced that some time in 2016 a collection of Gilmore Girls reunion episodes will air on Netflix. There will be four episodes, 90 minutes each, representing each season in a year. I cannot wait to watch it! The actors are so much older and will overall make those episodes so much more different from the previous seasons. Are you going to watch the new and upcoming episodes? Call me up- we'll make popcorn and talk about how cute Stars Hollow is.
